The moment before the Finale started… so excited that the weeks of hard work were almost over. And one hell of a party was about to begin.
This final task started on a Monday morning, we got on board a ship and we didn’t stop working right up until this party. Putting together an ad campaign, planning a party and a concert as well as raising money. It felt impossible right up until it became a reality.
Well, it’s down to the Final Four and the last task before the finals. Brooke, Laila & I on Team Arete with only Boy George on Team Prima… no idea how the Governor will pair us up for the finals.
It really is nice to come into a task AFTER you’ve been Project Manager (especially if you’ve won), because you know you won’t have to do it again.
But, the numbers are dwindling rapidly and there’s no place to hide… even in the Staples Center. It continues to amaze me the places we get to go and the people we get to meet. Clippers owner and former Microsoft head honcho Steve Ballmer is a walking ball of intensity and enthusiasm.
After the fundraiser and the brutally close loss, a somber mood permeates our team. For the next task presentation, we’re on the pier in Hermosa Beach where we find out we’re now dealing in protein snacks… NOT beef jerky.
It was really nice to have won as Project Manager and feel like the pressure was off. At least, for a couple of tasks. Things move fast on Celebrity Apprentice. I also learned that Boy George is “happy being miserable.” I do love the man, he is a uniquely creative human.
Well, were on a two task winning streak. and I think we won both of them handily. Now in the back of my mind, I’m trying to figure out when I should be project manager.
Compounding things were going from three days for a task to two days for a task. Everything’s going to speed up.
Going into this, my entire goal was simply to avoid being the first person fired. This was a huge opportunity for me, but I know where I am on the celebrity Totem Pole and, all else being equal, I assume they fire the least famous one.
“I’m officially a celebrity.” That was my first thought when they asked me to come on Celebrity Apprentice. I got the call while at a press event for Team Ninja Warrior, living in VR and looking super cool.
